He recounts such memories as moments spent with his father, of days of youth on the baseball field, summer days gazing up at the clouds, afternoons at the park, to name only a few. These memories are recounted with amazing sensory detail, that made me feel like I was not only there, but reliving similar moments in my own youth. It was a subtle reminder to me of how alive the senses are during the period of youth where everything is new, and sometimes we need to remind ourselves, in the busyness of life, to stop and smell the roses.Product details

This book of poems and stories was written from the writer's heart. Some pages made me smile, others brought a tear to my eye. This is a very personal glimpse into this writer's life and I feel priveleged to have shared it.
What a delicious book and such a journey Rob takes us on. Warm, joyful, heartbrraking, light, and all of it filled with love. Rob writes for himself yet makes sure we see what he sees, empathize with what he's feeling. Best enjoyed with a cup of delicious rich cocoa. Wrapped in a blanket is optional.
